It was a sunny day; all our students were sitting outside with their art professor Mr. Saibal Karmakar. The day was kept for outdoor sketching. They were portraying the soothing nature into their canvas. Nature can be the greatest inspiration. Outdoors one can get immense creative exposure. ESEDS gives students the opportunity to explore and we also provide them with creative freedom.
Students engrossed in viewing a documentary on the history of Danish settlements in Serampore, during an excursion to the Danish Tavern as part of their Restoration and Renovation Class. The visit indeed helped the student understand the topic restoration much better.
Shantipur, Fulia is known for its rich handloom textiles. ESEDS School of designs had arranged a field trip for all their fashion design students to Shantipur. Textile being an integral part of fashion, a practical demonstration was very insightful for all the design students. The students also got to interact with the local artisans and gain knowledge from their year long experience.
Head Scientist Dr Manas Bhowmik invited the students of to visit BSI and witness the grand history and local rich resources available in West Bengal. Being a part of sustainable design college it was indeed a great opportunity for all our students to learn about various natural dyes and mordants available and the history behind it. All the historic documentation that was available was truly very insightful.
