Here’s a few old skool personal laundry hacks. Hand wash whites, delicates and smalls, rinse
and hang to dry smalls as you take them off. Shake air and fold jumpas, trousers, jackets as you take them off. Do like wise with all laundry coming off the line, out of the washer and dryer (Shake and fold the lot in a tidy stack).
Sour laundry? Soak in a strong vinegar and lemon sink/bucket/bath of water; Agitate some and leave to soak for an hour. Then launder as usual and air well. Sour laundry is often caused by storing clean clothes that are still slightly damp where they can not breathe like in drawers. Hang and air clothes well rather than fold and pile as you can. Tie tights together in a knot before washing in the machine. Sort the wash into whites, bleeding colours, and delicate fabrics. Delicates and whites are also quick and easy to rinse, clean and dry through quickly by hand and natural drying. In a rush to get a piece of clothing dry? Wrap/roll the item up in a dry towel and ring/twist it round, repeat and finish with an air dry or back of radiator.
