Full-Time Employees

A full-time employee works for an organization on monthly payment basis. He is eligible for several types of employee entitlements such as paid leave, sick leave, job promotion, perk and increment. The work hour of a full-time employee is more than 38 hours a week. They are hired as a long-term employee for a company. They can be hired on a contractual basis for a fixed period. Such an employee is known as fixed term contract employees.

Part-Time Employees

Part-time employees are those who work less than 38 hours weekly. They are hired for a long term or a contractual basis. Part-time employees don’t get all the benefits that full-time employees may get. They may not have the benefit paid leave and sick leave. Since the duty hours are short, they may not get the perks that full-time employees get.

Casual Employees

The term casual employees cover several types of workers including shift workers, daily hire, and outworkers. It is a broad term. If an employee is hired as a casual worker, his roaster changes weekly as per the convenience of the employer. Employees can be hired for a day or a week. There is no any advanced commitment. They don’t get the benefit of paid leave. However, they can earn well by extending their working hours. They can get the benefits of extra perks by extending their work hours. In construction fields, daily hire is common. It involves a group of masons and unskilled workers.
