Tung oil or China wood oil is extracted from the seeds of tung trees that are commonly found in China and other Asian countries.

The tung tree's seed pods are used to make tung oil (Vernicia fordii). It has high quantities of vitamin E and carotenoids and is heavy in fatty acids.
